Why Study Modern Languages and Cultures at Fisher?

Have you always wanted to learn another language? Did you study a language in high school and now want to increase your proficiency?

Fisher's language program encourages active use of language in all courses. You'll benefit from individualized attention and a high level of participation made possible by small classes and dedicated faculty.

The program emphasizes critical awareness of cultural variations and issues in world civilizations and global regions. You will be introduced to cultural and literary analysis and research using primary texts, secondary literature and computerized data resources.

What Can I Do With a Language Major/Minor?

A major or minor in a language will prepare you for careers in:
