Dr. Kris Green Victorious in Karate Competition

On Saturday, April 28, 2012, Dr. Kris Green of the Mathematical and Computing Sciences Department represented Harp Karate in the 22nd Annual Tatsu-Do Martial Arts tournament. After earning first place in kumite and empty-hand kata in the black belt men over 35 category, he then competed against the first place winners in the under 35 category. As a result, Dr. Green is now the Grand Champion for black belt men’s kumite and black belt men’s empty-hand kata, and will be defending his title at next year’s competition.
