Studying Economics at St. John Fisher College combines the best of liberal arts training with opportunities to gain skills and experience to prepare you for success in the job market or graduate study.

Course components, such as individual and group projects, class discussions, and presentations encourage you to develop and enhance your ability to think critically and write effectively.

Program Requirements

The Economics section of the Undergraduate Catalog has specific program requirements for both the major and minor in Economics.

Personalized Attention

As an Economics major, you will have the opportunity to interact with your instructors and apply classroom experiences by working on projects with them. A recent faculty-student collaboration involved the investigation of the cost structures and pricing practices of local health care providers while another project led to an economics major co-presenting a paper at a professional conference.

Success After Graduation

The Economics program of study will help prepare you for a variety of careers after graduation including financial management, actuarial science, regulation, law, banking or education or for graduate programs in economics, public policy, law, or business.
