Computer Science Student Project Presented in Czech Republic
Tyler Kilburn, a computer science major, recently had a research project presented at the University of West Bohemia in Plzen, Czech Republic.
The project was a team effort among students from around the area who attended the Research Experience for Undergraduates sessions over the summer, a highly prestigious and competitive program that lasted six weeks. The students spent those six weeks working on research at RIT, putting together team projects. Kilburn's team project involved visualization and simulation of galactic events, such as black holes colliding. The team submitted their poster to be considered for presentation at the International Conference on Computer Graphics, Visualization, and Computers at the University of West Bohemia. It was accepted, and presented in February.
