The event, held in Cleary Family Auditorium, celebrates the years of service for Fisher employees. The luncheon began with comments by Karen Gagie, Director of Human Resources, followed by an invocation from Father Joseph Lanzalaco. President Bain also said a few words to thank the honorees for their work at Fisher. Years of service are celebrated in five-year increments and gift booklets are provided to the honorees, from which they can select a personal or professional gift. Each honoree also receives a group photo that was taken during the luncheon. Human Resources Holds First Ever New Employee OrientationTo help new Fisher employees learn more about the College and network with their colleagues, the Human Resources Department hosted the first New Employee Orientation Session on Wednesday, August 30, 2006. A full morning of informational sessions provided participants with the opportunity to hear Dr. Bain and senior staff members speak about the heritage, current state, and future direction of the College. Attendees were given an overview that included information regarding: Fisher’s student demographics and admissions criteria; student life organizations and activities; services and resources offered by the College; opportunities to give back to Fisher; and human resources. Based on the success of the orientation program, Human Resources plans to host the New Employee Orientation Sessions at least once a semester.
